Cove-out Cottage Description

Cove-Out Cottage is the ultimate “home away from home” lake-front property. It is nestled back in a small, peaceful neighborhood with a great view of the active Buck Creek Cove, at the 8MM off the main channel. Outside of the cozy home lies a huge back deck, a brand-new patio, a yard area with a firepit, and gentle-grade sidewalk access to a large dock where you’ll find the Lost Anchor tiki bar. Located on the “West Side” of the lake, the house is right near a golf course, popular lakefront bars, and great restaurants. This cottage is the perfect place to unwind at the Lake of the Ozarks!

 

The House

Perfect for families and friends, this home has two levels with separate entrances, connected by an enormous back deck, and sleeps up to 10 guests. The main level holds two bedrooms, one king and one queen, a bathroom, laundry room, kitchen, an island/bar area for seating, and a cozy living room with a fireplace, mounted TV, and walk-out access to the back deck where you will find a gas grill and additional seating. The kitchen is fully stocked with all kitchen essentials including a crock-pot, electric griddle, Keurig coffee maker, and a waffle maker!

 

The upper level has a bunk room with two twin/twin bunk beds, a full-size bathroom, and a queen sleeper sofa and mounted TV in the living area. With extra mirrors, vanities, and hooks in each room, this space is thoughtfully designed to accommodate everyone’s getting-ready needs!

 

The Dock

Just a few steps down from the newly paved back patio, you’ll find the walkway to the ultimate lake-fun zone. The dock is home to the Lost Anchor tiki bar, with a full-size fridge and lots of comfy seating. There are multiple areas to lounge in the sun and swim, with one set of stairs and one ladder leading into the water. There is a 14x32 boat slip, wave runner lift, and a flat bottom boat lift available for guest use as well. In the cool evenings, you can enjoy the gas fire place table!! Please note that on busy weekends and holidays the dock can get wavy due to the Buck Creek traffic.

By land: Indian Rock public golf course with bar and grill, West Lake Cinema, Laurie bowling alley, Westlake Aquatic Center with indoor pool, a grocery store, and other restaurants are just minutes up the road. Ha Ha Tonka State Park, with its famous cold springs, and The Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park are about 30 minutes south, the Jacobs Caves are about 30 minutes north, and the Bagnell dam is about 30 minutes east. Many popular lakefront bars are also within a short driving distance like Tap & Grill, with an adult pool and great food, Franky & Louies, island vibe with a family friendly beach, Lake Burger with kid and adult shakes, and Coconuts that offers a kid’s water park and adult swimming pool.

 

By boat: Shady Gators, H. Toads, Franky & Louies, Lake House 13, Tap & Grill, Lake Burger, Coconuts, Jolly Rogers, and the Boat House are great options nearby. Or there’s always the Lost Anchor, right in your backyard!
